Here’s the list of documents out broker needs to get you though the eezy entry:

  • Commercial Invoice
  • Bill of lading or Airway bill
  • Arrival notice
  • POA- Power of Attorney, valid for 2 years

After the broker review is finished, you will be asked to pay the duties & taxes, unless you have an ACH with the CBP, in which case you’ll pay the duties post clearance. After the duties payment is finalized, your Entry will be filed for Cargo Release.

Filing Late Broker Entry may be subject to additional fees, such as for brokerage services and storage.
Duties and fees are calculated after primary filing and subject to CBP verification of duties.
eezyimport does not handle the international and local transportation of goods. It is the importer’s responsibility to settle the final delivery and ensure all fees are paid to the local representatives of the forwarder or carrier.

Of course! You will be able to corresponde with your broker using the broker chat inside your eezy dashboard.

To get your Entry filed, you will need to provide a copy of your Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Arrival Notice, and any other document you or the broker will find relevant for your release process.

Filing an Entry using our Broker module requires you to fill out a POA so that our broker would file the Entry on your behalf. For a POA to be valid, it must be notarized by all entities except for corporations.

Once the CBP has released your shipment, we will send you a notification containing Customs Release Documents (CBP Form 7501 – Entry Summary, CBP Form 3461 – Cargo Release, and ABI Messages). Also, you will be able to see the updated status of your Entry inside the online dashboard in your eezyimport account.

To get a Self Filer Code, you need to send a request to the Port Director of your main port of entry.
You can create the Self- Filer application template inside your eezyimport account, and email it to the CBP upon completion. Make sure you meet the requirements before submitting your Self Filer code request:

  • Continuous Bond on file with the CBP.
  • Entry Volume: a monthly average for the past 12-month period of 15 entries.
  • Entry Value: a total entered value during the past 12 months of $1,000,000, or more.
